How it works

Amylin, the hormone released with insulin, with three rat amino acids so it won't clump. Added to mealtime insulin in diabetes.

What it's made of

Human amylin (37 amino acids), which the pancreas releases with insulin, with 3 prolines copied from rat amylin. Human amylin clumps into fibers; rat amylin does not.

What it's for

Prescribed for

Type 1 or 2 diabetes in adults who already use mealtime insulin and are not reaching their target.
